- Mount and air seal. Cut the opening just large enough, point the exhaust port toward the termination and caulk the housing to the drywall.
- Connect the duct. Use mechanical fasteners or a clamp, sealed with mastic or UL 181 tape.
- Route the duct. Keep the first 3 ft straight, use gradual bends, insulate it and slope it away from the fan where possible.
